Is ProperPlus a property search engine?

No. ProperPlus concentrate on the people and their needs rather than just a property search engine, we believe that your time and money is too precious to be wasted on property searches and advertisements

How frequent is the database updated?

All the time. As we are a user based database we have 24hr registers with new profiles and properties as well as users deletes their listings once they find the people or property they were looking for.

Can I just make a quick search in ProperPlus database?

Yes. But to assure the safety and peace of mind of our users, access to contact details will only be offered for registered user with an exact profile or property match.

Are there any costs involved in the system?

Yes. Only when you want access to a private contact data,
one contact (name, phone no., mobile no. & email address) costs as low as £4.50, there is an option to buy them in bulk for a lower rate.

Do I have to register with my real details?

For the security of all our members, all registered details have to be legitimate. We advise all members to verify their details and only to contact those members with verified details. Contact details will only ever be released to search matches.

Does ProperPlus sending any emails?

Properplus will only email you if:
- The match engine has found a suitable match.
- A member wishes to make contact with you.
- We need to confirm any changes to your account details.

What means non verified, verified, & verified+ users?

A non-verified user has registered their details but not been through any verification process.
A verified user is one who has had only one of their contact details verified by our verification system.
A verified plus user has had both their email address and mobile number verified.
Properplus recommends that all users get verified as members might not want to spend money on what might potentially be a false lead.

What is a ProperKey / Magic ProperKey?

A ProperKey is a credit which allows you to access contact details of a profile or property in which you have interest.
A Magic Proper Key gets you unlimited contact details for ONE property or profile. Once you have applied a Magic Key to an ad you will no longer be able to edit that ad.
Those credits can be purchased via your accounts page.

What is the news feed in My ProperPage?

The news feed on your account page is how we keep you up to date with all activity on your account, including details of available matches, messages from other users and your key balance.

Are there any chance for refunds in case a matching profile/advert is no more available, or if the contact details are wrong?

Yes. ProperPlus guarantees that if you will spend a ProperKey on a profile or property and at least two of the contact details turns out to be fake or wrong a new ProperKey will be refunded to your account. There will be no refunds for the “Magic ProperKey” as it give unlimited contact details for any future property matches.

Is the registration payable?

No. Registering and posting a listing is completely free.

Can I cancel my registration?

Yes. By contacting us via the ‘contact us’ form, you will have first to hide your profile or property advert.

Listing general FAQ

What is a suspect an advert/profile of being fake?

If you suspect an ad is ‘false’ or has misleading or incorrect details, use the ‘Contact Us’ form. Select `Report Listing` to advise us. We will investigate and take appropriate action

When is a profile/advert expires?

in order for us to maintain and provide an efficient and reliable system we have to clear all adverts after 45 days.

Can I republish an advert after its been hidden?

Yes. Any ad that has been placed in the hidden folder can be re-published by selecting `Publish` in the ‘Tools’ section. The ad is then relisted for another 45 days.

What is the ‘create mirror’ tool?

This tool has been created to save time once you found a suitable listing. Clicking on `Create Mirror` in the ‘Tools’ tab will automatically fill out a profile that matches the listing - useful if you are looking to receive offers similar to that ad.

Creating more than one property advert or profile

Use the ‘duplicate tool’ in front of your listing to create a new advert or profile similar to the original one and apply only the necessary changes.

Creating a ‘tenant profile’

Why should I use ProperPlus more than other search portals?

The reason is simple, when it comes to searching a property for rent ProperPlus offers you much more than a property search, actually you don’t have to search at all. By creating a “tenant profile” you are done with searching the property owner will find you and contact you offering their property.

Does this service cost any money?

No. as long as you don’t require contact details of another user will it be totally free.

How do I get started?

Simple. By clicking on “rent a property” you will be diverted to a form in which you will be able to create your tenant profile with all details you would like to have in the house of your dreams, as well as details about how much are you ready to pay, will you pay by dss, how many family members do you have etc. once the profile is created you will be asked to register yourself with your private details (those will not be a part of the profile and not be published on the internet).

Will any of my private details be advertised on the internet?

No. never. The only case your contact details will be passed on will be when a user will upload a property matching exactly your profiles requirements, he will then be offered your contact details for a very small fee (this will assure that serious people will contact you).

Do I have to fill out the full form?

No. the basic fields as location, price, size of the house will be enough, but why not to take 2 more minutes to tell the agents and private landlords exactly wht are you looking for, that way will the matching-engine be able to search for an accurate match for you.

Are the comments field obligatory?

No. but your profile will attract thus more attention if they will contain your own description and requirements.

May I put my contact details in the profiles comments?

For the safety of our users contact details are not allowed in the profiles.
We believe you won’t like to see your contact details spread on the internet,
We would strongly recommend never to put you details on the internet.

Can I create more than one profile?

Yes. You may create a few profiles if you are interested in several areas with different prices and requirements.

I have created my tenant profile, what happens next?

Log out from your account landlords and estate agents will be reviewing you profile they will be offered you contact details as well in case they have a property matching you search criteria.

What do I do if I find a matching property I am interested in?

If the matching-engine has found a property matching your profile, he has already did notified the property owner about your profile.

How long should I wait until I will be contacted?

It depends in your requirement, how busy is the rental market in this area, what price have you offered etc. Usually if you have inserted a reasonable profile you should be contacted in a day or two, sometimes more.

Can I get the contact details for a property matching my profile?

There are properties with their owners contact details included but most of them will not have any contact details, you will have an option to purchase their contacts but it will be useless as the landlords are looking for tenants at least as the tenants are looking for their property.

Why should I upgrade my status to a user verified?

As the landlord is spending a credit (ProperKey) to get access to your contact details, he will prefer to spend it on verified contact details.

Is there a way to delete a profile once it has been created?

Yes. You may archive your profile by clicking on the “hide” link on the front of your profile. This will exclude your profile from the database first to hide your profile.

Listing a property for rent

Is ProperPlus a free property advertising portal?

ProperPlus is not a property advertising portal, at ProperPlus you go shopping for tenant from the biggest private tenants database in the UK.

Why should I use ProperPlus to advertise my property?

At ProperPlus you are not advertising you house for rent, at ProperPlus for the first time, you will be offered to choose a suitable tenant from the database.

Does ProperPlus charges for advertising a property?

There is no charges for uploading properties for rent, the only charge will be applied to get access to the tenant contacts details data.

How do I start?

Upload your property via clicking on ‘Let your property’ link, you will be asked for all details about your property including what tenant would you like to have for your property.

Can I upload pictures of my property?

Yes. Up to 6 pictures and its free.

May I put my contact details in the property advert?

You may insert your contact details in the private comments only if you buy the ‘Magic ProperKey’ for your property advert (Magic ProperKey is a prepaid credit which will give you access to unlimited contact details for tenants matching you property).

I have uploaded my property, what’s happens next?

Click on ‘find a match’ in front of your advert, the matching-engine will search through the tenants database and display for you a result of existing matching tenants.

I didn’t found the tenant I was looking for, what’s next?

As the database is humanly updated everyday by our users, a tenant may appear only for one day and hide his profile.
That’s why we will be sending you an email immediately when a tenant profile matching your property will show up.

How do I contact an optimistic tenant profile owner?

To get access to the contact details you have to spend one ProperKey (can be purchased via your accounts page ‘buy more credits’ the price of one ProperKey is £4.5 ).
Alternatively, you can buy a ‘Magic ProperKey’ for you property, and you will have access to all (existing & future coming) profiles matching you property.

Is there a refund if a ProperKey has been spent on wrong or fake contact details?

Yes. If you are using simple ProperKeys (not the magic one) we will refund your account with a new ProperKey in case you will not get at least 2 correct contact details.

How do I delete my advert once my property is no more available?

Clicking on the ‘Hide’ link on the front of your listing will exclude your property from the system and will no more be counted by the matching-engine.

Creating a ‘buyer profile’

As a service for property buyers ProperPlus offers a unique service.

You simply create your buyer profile, with all details you would like to have in the house of your dreams, as well as details about how much are you ready to pay, the exact location etc.
You can then leave, log out from your account and sellers or estate agents will be reviewing you profile they will be offered you contact details as well in case they have a property matching you search criteria.
